At the American Red Cross - San Diego/Imperial Counties, approximately 89% of the staff are volunteers. Volunteers are invaluable to the daily operation of the American Red Cross and are truly the heart and soul of the organization!
Please consider your volunteer goals, interests and availability, then choose the type of volunteer service that will be the best match for you:
Core Volunteers: Looking to volunteer on a regular basis? A variety of opportunities are available for you to join us daily, weekly or monthly.
Reserve Volunteers: Busy schedule? Become a reserve volunteer, called upon for assistance in a major disaster response.
Special Event Volunteers: Interested in helping one day at a time? Assist with special projects and events such as CPR Saturday!
Corporate & Community Partnerships: We offer a variety of ways for your group to get involved!
Youth Services Program: Individuals ages 16 - 24 are encouraged to become part of our Youth Program, which offers meaningful opportunities for education, training and community service.
Military Hospital Volunteers (Camp Pendleton and NMCSD - Balboa): Are you a licensed medical professional? Use your skills to support our military community!
Please note that as of January 2009, the American Red Cross-San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter will no longer accept court-mandated volunteers. We recommend checking the Volunteer San Diego website.
