New Chair and Board of Directors Installed at 2008 Annual Meeting

(SAN DIEGO)—Business and community leaders have been selected as members of the 2008-09 Board of Directors of the San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter of the American Red Cross. The slate was formally nominated and voted on by the membership at the Chapter’s Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 25, at 12:30 p.m. at the Red Cross Chapter Headquarters, 3950 Calle Fortunada in Kearny Mesa.
After serving three years on the board and holding the positions of Finance Chair and Vice Chair, Marilyn Creson Brown will become the new Board of Directors Chair for 2008-2009. She replaces outgoing Chair Vincent Mudd.
“I am honored to serve as Chairman of our local Red Cross Chapter," said Creson Brown. "Our vision is for San Diego to become America’s most prepared community, and I look forward to working with the Board, the staff, and the volunteers to help San Diego achieve that goal.”
The Board welcomes one new member, Henry M. Killmar.
In addition to installation of the new board, CEO Joe Craver presented a report to the community on the Chapter’s activities and accomplishments during the year.
